What you’ll be doing
We are looking for problem solvers whose curiosity and commitment to high standards will mean that they will enjoy having real responsibility, right away to get close to our businesses to deliver value. Your role will be to uncover actionable insight by flexing your data skills to enable business decision-making and unlock the value of our data. This is a challenging opportunity, and we will provide support and opportunities for development to help you on your journey to build new areas of expertise. You’ll have an opportunity to make a difference for customers and stakeholders by reducing cost and waste to modernise energy for a NetZero future.
There will be plenty of opportunities for exploratory analysis. In the short term, we will also need your help to support the business in defining robust metrics and establishing a catalogue of data features that can help them to self-serve on the most common requests. As our capabilities grows, we expect to be collaborating more and more on opportunities requiring advanced analytics solutions. We are looking for someone who is keen to grow and to help shape the reporting and analytics service, working alongside colleagues and delivery partners and through an analytics community of practice
What you'll be working on;
Cloud automation and Orchestration using continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD) development using Github Actions and Runners and maintaining Data Operation.
Creating and maintaining Data Pipelines and Operations.
Delivering data engineering solutions in line with a scalable data architecture and feature-rich datasets.
Develop solutions for streaming data ingestion and transformations in line with strategy.
Facilitating a logical and physical view of data, metadata and data quality.
Interpret, document, and translate business needs into feature-engineered datasets for productionisation.
Educating and embedding new data techniques into the business through knowledge sharing.
Identifying ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality.
What you’ll bring
Experience creating and maintaining Data Pipelines and Operations.
Experience of deploying and managing distributed data/ETL pipelines
Experience in managing data engineering tooling/orchestration
Experience of programming languages such as python, SPARK or SQL
Experience with data ingestion and validation
Nice to have, but not essential
Experience in API services via Kubernetes and API Gateway.
Experience in PowerBI And PowerAutomate would be an added advantage.
