Role: Regulatory Specialist / Regulatory Manager – FMCG

Salary: Competitive + annual discretionary bonus

Location: Central London, hybrid 2 days in office

Why this is a great move

Join a high‑growth, global FMCG ingredients group at the centre of EU and UK food innovation. You’ll be the in‑house regulatory “go‑to”, working directly with senior leadership and commercial teams to keep a diverse portfolio (from vitamins to botanicals) fully compliant - and you’ll see the impact of your advice every day.

Key responsibilities for the position of Regulatory Specialist -

  • Own regulatory compliance for food, feed, and supplement ingredients across UK/EU (plus ad‑hoc global markets)

  • Monitor legislative changes (BRCGS, Novel Food, REACH, FAMI‑QS, Organic, Halal, Kosher) and translate impact into clear, practical actions for the business.

  • Review and maintain specifications, labels, claims and dossiers; troubleshoot complex customer and supplier queries.

  • Liaise with authorities and certification bodies to secure licences and approvals.

  • Train quality, commercial and ops teams—turning “reg speak” into plain English and fostering a compliance culture.

  • Support wider QA projects (GFSI/BRC audits, crisis management, system upgrades) and, at manager level, mentor one direct report.

Experience required for the position of Regulatory Specialist -

  • 3 – 10 yrs regulatory or technical experience in food / beverage / nutrition

  • Hands‑on expertise with EU & UK food law plus at least two of: Novel Food, REACH, FAMI‑QS, Organic, Halal, Kosher, packaging/FCM.

  • Comfortable juggling detailed admin (spec systems) with big‑picture stakeholder advice.

  • Confident communicator able to simplify complex regs for commercial & SLT audiences.

  • Proactive, solutions‑focused mindset - the person who says “Here’s the risk and here’s how we fix it”.

(If you bring senior‑level depth and want the manager banding, you’ll also have led or coached others and be ready to stay hands‑on.)

Benefits snapshot

  • Hybrid working (2 office / 3 home) + “work abroad” option (10 days p.a.)

  • Simply Health plan, Little Extras benefits platform

  • Home‑office allowance

  • Annual discretionary bonus
