Senior Front-End Developer – High-Growth Startup


Location: Remote (UK-based, with monthly in-person meetups)


Salary: Up to £80,000 (Permanent)

Responsibilities


As the Senior Front-End Developer, you will play a key role in designing and delivering exceptional user experiences across web and mobile platforms. Your key responsibilities will include:



  • Leading front-end implementation using technologies like React, TypeScript, and Next.js.

  • Contributing to architecture decisions and frontend best practices across products.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including design, product, and backend.

  • Supporting a robust testing culture using JEST and modern QA tools.

  • Integrating with APIs and ensuring responsive, high-performance front-ends.

  • Presenting technical solutions clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Supporting a culture of innovation, learning, and continuous improvement.


Essential Requirements


To succeed in this role, you will need:



  • 5–6+ years of professional front-end development experience.

  • Strong skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Redux, HTML5, CSS/SCSS, and TailwindCSS.

  • Experience with Next.js, React Native, and/or CapacitorJS is highly desirable.

  • Solid understanding of GraphQL, RESTful APIs, Git workflows, and OAuth.

  • Experience in fast-paced startup or scale-up environments.

  • Confidence working autonomously, owning features from concept to release.

  • Excellent communication skills and comfort presenting to varied audiences.

  • A proactive, adaptable mindset and willingness to pitch in where needed—including occasional late nights or weekends.
