Anderson Knight is currently working with a well-established and innovative engineering firm known for delivering high-quality projects across a range of sectors including infrastructure, manufacturing, and energy.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Financial Accountant to strengthen their finance function and support strategic business decisions.

As a Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in managing the financial reporting and compliance obligations of the business. You will work closely with operational teams to provide accurate financial insights that drive efficiency and profitability in a project-driven environment.

The key responsibilities for this role will include:

  • Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards
  • Maintain compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and cash flow forecasts aligned with project timelines
  • Conduct variance analysis and reporting to support operational decision-making
  • Liaise with external auditors and manage audit processes
  • Partner with engineering project teams to provide cost tracking and financial performance updates
  • Drive process improvements within the finance function

The ideal candidate will possess the following key attributes:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CA, CIMA)
  • Candidates who are Qualified by Experience and demonstrate the desired skills are also invited to apply.
  • Previous experience in or exposure to the engineering, construction, or manufacturing sectors is desirable
  • Strong technical accounting and reporting skills
  • Confident communicator able to engage with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • High proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP systems
  • Exposure to complex, high-value projects
  • Ability to meet tight financial deadlines and offer solutions to complex project issues.
