We are looking for an experienced HR professional to join our team in Glasgow as an HR Manager. This position entails collaborating with the site leaders to deliver HR solutions for the designated employee base (approx. 60 employees in Glasgow). Tasks vary from staffing, compensation, and team development, as well as assisting with organizational change initiatives. This role offers a fulfilling opportunity for individuals interested in addressing strategic, region-wide, or company-wide matters, while also overseeing day-to-day tactical HR operations.
As an HR Manager, you will:
- Align HR practices with business initiatives,
- Stay updated on the site’s goals, capabilities, and development priorities,
- Identify and establish relationships with key clients and stakeholders across the two sites,
- Investigate and resolve employee complaints promptly; escalate significant issues to the HR Director Eurasia,
- Coach managers to improve employee performance; review performance improvement plans before communicating with employees,
- Collaborate with the site leaders to understand skill gaps and upcoming business needs,
- Participate in meetings with the global HR colleagues,
- Partner with internal TA team on recruitment and successful onboarding,
- Oversee HR Operations, managing local Payroll, and Benefits,
- Enhance existing processes for efficiency, accuracy, and reducing manual work,
- Maintain network of HR and business contacts for knowledge sharing and completion of key deliverables,
- Manage enhancement and implementation of HR policies and programs; work on special projects as required,
- Influence and implement best-in-class safety behaviors,
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources / Business Administration,
- 5+ years of related experience, preferably within an international organization,
- Possess strong Business Acumen to effectively translate business needs into HR actions,
- Be proactive in dealing with ambiguity, addressing emerging issues promptly, and being responsive to both management and employees,
- Demonstrate an Action-Oriented approach, capable of leading change within the organization,
- Possess the ability to influence others while maintaining an attitude of respect for individuals at all levels of the organization,
- Exhibit Decision Quality, showing the capability to work independently in leadership roles,
- Have strong Conflict Management skills, including effective communication and a commanding leadership presence,
- Display Organizational Agility by effectively multitasking, meeting deadlines, and maintaining confidentiality,
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a preference for familiarity with HR software like ADP.
