Job Overview
An opportunity to work in an outpatient area for a caring nurse who wants to broaden experience in medicine.
The hour will be 22.5 Mon-Fri. The clinics are varied but mostly nephrology, gastroenterology, Ophthalmology, Rheumatology and Dermatology.
Danetre Medical outpatients is a very small team that the band 5 will need to manage and take responsibility when the Team Leader is away.
To manage the day-to-day clinics, prioritise the workload and supervise the team.
Main duties of the job
To ensure the clinics run smoothly, manage the handover at lunchtime.
Participate in the general management of the department.
Be part of daily morning huddle when staff are allocated to clinics.
To be proactive in dealing with problems or complaints.
Maintain morale and motivation within the working team.
Deputise when Team Leader is away from department.
Help to promote a learning environment.
Ensure patients have a good experience when attending outpatients, treat as you would like to be treated.
To ensure the clinics run smoothly, manage the handover at lunchtime
