Role Responsibilities

As Assistant Visitor Centre Manager, you will support the Visitor Centre Manager in operating Auchentoshan Visitor Centre, ensuring a premium brand experience aligned with the Global Brand Strategy. Your role is to enhance brand values, deliver excellent customer service, and support team development and business growth.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Manage daily operations of the Visitor Centre team, ensuring high standards in tours and experiences.

  • Deputise for the Visitor Centre Manager, including weekend and occasional evening work.

  • Be an expert on the Auchentoshan Brand, delivering whisky tours and tastings on and off-site.

  • Manage visits from trade, media, private clients, and VIPs.

  • Handle site administration: respond to inquiries, manage bookings, order stock via SAP, and process PR/POs.

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety at the Visitor Centre.

  • Coordinate with the distillery operations team to ensure safety and operational procedures are followed.

  • Participate in site meetings and organize events and conferences.

  • Work with the Visitor Centre Manager on team management, including scheduling, meetings, recruitment, training, and performance reviews.

  • Support external and internal training initiatives.

  • Lead investigations related to conduct, capability, and absence issues.

  • Make recommendations for tour formats, products, and revenue opportunities.

  • Promote DE&I strategies and responsible drinking practices.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Previous management experience leading a team, resource allocation, training, motivation, and customer service.

  • Experience presenting to diverse audiences.

  • Valid driving license.

  • Experience in hospitality, retail, or tourism (desirable).

  • Personal Licence (training provided if not held).
