Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to kick-start their career in accountancy. As a Trainee Accountant, you will gain hands-on experience across different areas of finance, working closely with experienced professionals while studying towards a recognised accounting qualification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and management accounts
  • Supporting tax computations, VAT returns, and payroll processing
  • Handling financial reconciliations and maintaining accurate records
  • Assisting with audit assignments and compliance tasks
  • Engaging with clients and addressing queries professionally
  • Analysing financial data and preparing reports for senior accountants
  • Keeping up to date with accounting regulations and best practices

Who We Are Looking For

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • A strong numerical and analytical mindset
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a willingness to learn financial software
  • Ability to work well in a team and manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • A commitment to pursuing a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
