Estimating Manager
Glasgow - (hybrid working arrangement – 3 days per week on site)
Fixed Term contract (12 months)

We are looking for an Estimating Manager to join our Optronics and Missile Electronics (OME) UK team in Glasgow. You will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of our bids and projects here at Thales.

About you:
We are seeking a proactive individual with a positive attitude and great interpersonal skills. Someone who has strong stakeholder management and can successfully manage and influence cross functional teams.
To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years. In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years’ residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted, with additional overseas checks.
In line with Thales' Baseline Security requirements, candidates will be asked to provide evidence of identity, eligibility to work in the UK and employment and/or education history for up to three years. Some vacancies may require full Security Clearance which can require further evidence to be provided. Estimating Manager

The purpose of this role is to define the inputs necessary for project estimating, coordinate the activities and consolidate estimates.
- Outline the estimating approach and appropriate estimating techniques.
- Provide the estimate timelines.
- Document decisions for strategy, techniques and associated rationale as part of key Estimate
or any other document for an on-going project.
About you:

- A financial/accounting background is essential for this role.
- An understanding of the Bid Management process and lifecycle would be advantageous.
