The Planning Analyst will be part of the European Spirits Category Planning Team, focused on delivering data-led insights to support planning and decision-making. We're looking for someone confident working with complex data, with a good understanding of internal data sources, extraction, and manipulation.
As a Planning Analyst, you’ll support the European Spirits Category through accurate, timely reporting and by identifying trends and opportunities across the data. You’ll help improve and automate existing reports and respond to new reporting needs by assessing requirements and collaborating with relevant teams.
You’ll work closely with a diverse range of stakeholders to ensure reporting and analytics meet the needs of the category and wider business. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys using data to drive clarity and impact.
Data extraction: Identify and access relevant data sources across multiple platforms. Develop efficient methods for extracting, cleaning, and integrating data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Driving insights: Analyse complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that can support business decisions. Collaborate with multi-functional teams to translate findings into impactful recommendations.
Report automation: Design and implement automated reporting solutions that streamline processes and reduce manual effort. Focus on creating reports that highlight key metrics and facilitate timely decision-making.
Collaboration & Integration: Work closely with various systems and teams within Diageo to use existing technologies and explore new opportunities for data integration. Foster partnerships that enhance the overall analytics capability of the organization.
About You
We are looking for someone who brings shown experience in data analysis, manipulation, and visualisation (using tools like SQL, Python, R, Power BI, or Excel is beneficial), along with a collaborative attitude and a willingness to support and coach others.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets
Experience automating reports using tools like Power BI or Tableau
Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain technical findings in a business-friendly way
Familiarity with ERP and/or planning systems such as SAP ECC6, APO, or OMP would be beneficial
A positive and solution-focused attitude when dealing with ambiguity or challenges
A proactive, resilient, and adaptable approach to work
Confidence building relationships and working with people from different cultures and all levels of the business
A good sense of accountability, with a clear understanding of roles and responsibilities
