FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Credit Analyst to work for our client within the finance sector. This is initially a 12-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in Edinburgh.
Our client is seeking a Credit Analyst to join their team providing technical, analytical, and advisory support to key stakeholders and business partners across a range of complex market products with significant portfolio values. The role holder will employ strong and articulate communication skills to relay key messages where risks and issues need to be clearly understood and where appropriate decision-making drives risk management activity. Ideally, the successful candidate will have an understanding of Financial Markets products, business processes and front to back infrastructure. You will have excellent knowledge of the regulatory practices which impact the work of the team and an understanding of the likely impact of forthcoming regulatory change.
Assist in the resolution of all client queries that have arisen from an action undertaken by Market Ops, undertaking root cause analysis arising from client issues, develop and deliver actions plans to drive continuous improvement
Support a sustainable, cost-effective target operating model to support business needs, adapting as necessary as the business model evolve
Contribute to and develop existing business relationships with stakeholders through the provision of performance metrics and stakeholder engagement
Develop and maintain procedures and interpret and apply policy for Markets Middle Office to achieve specified outputs, or advise the wider business on application of policy, then monitor implementation of those procedures within the organisation
Support the wide range of activities of Middle Office teams ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements by liaising with all internal risk management functions while supporting the development and implementation of the organisation's compliance policy
Ensure adherence with Group policy, procedures and guidelines, quality standards and all regulatory and statutory requirements
Measure and report MI, KPI and KRI. Engage with industry developments appropriate to business area and the wider market and understand how the external environment, including the regulatory landscape will influence change within Markets & Lending Delivery
Assist key stakeholders with programme objectives, ensuring confidence in delivered solutions, ensuring they are market leading and support the implementation of change when required
Provide appropriate support and insight into the Financial Markets and Capital Markets products supporting stakeholders in delivering appropriate solutions for clients looking to issue into these markets utilising Markets knowledge and expertise
Experience of Financial and Capital Markets products and end to end system infrastructures including Primary and Secondary markets. Bonds, Corporate actions, FX, Rates could be included with these products
Technical knowledge of the business to meet all business needs
Ability to translate complex business requirements into a clear effective delivery
Ability to deliver in a complex, multi-dimensional, client facing and fast moving Financial and Capital Markets environment
In depth knowledge of Group policy, procedures and guidelines, quality standards and all global regulatory and statutory requirements
Capability to build and maintain strong working relationships internally across the Group and externally with other industry participants, trade bodies and suppliers, using these relationships to build influence
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and across different audiences
Excellent stakeholder, organisational and time management skills
Ability to engage with senior stakeholders at third parties and suppliers, always looking for the best result for LBG, whilst ensuring relationships are not compromised, and working in a professional and empathetic manner
