The shift pattern for this position is Mon-Fri 0830-1630/1600, mid-August mid-April, Annualised contract terms
An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 Health Care Support Workers (HCSW) to join the School Immunisation Team.
HCSW are responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the immunisation sessions/clinics, maintenance of cold chain procedures, ordering of all stocks and sundries and to communicate regularly with children, young people, educations colleagues and parents and carers. HCSW contribute to the safe and efficient delivery of immunisations to children in all areas of Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board.
You will be have experience preferably of working with children and an interest in Public Health and a desire to work within a skill mix team. Excellent communication skills and confidence to use IT will be essential. Full training will be given.

These posts aligns to two of our four school immunisation service areas. The service model is structured across four teams where the post holder is required to cover across the NHS GG&C HSCP teams:
Renfrew and Inverclyde Team
East Renfrewshire and South Glasgow Team This post
North East Glasgow and East Dunbartonshire Team
North West Glasgow and West Dunbartonshire Team This post
Please note this post requires GGC Board wide and cross Boundary working. This post requires PVG Scheme Membership / Disclosure Scotland Check.
This posts is a permanent position working an annualised hour’s contract from mid-August to mid-April (8 months), 37 hours per week, Mon to Fri 8.30 to 16.30/16.00.
Salary is annualised over 12 month period / paid 24.8 hours per week.
