HR & Professional Services Sourcing Manager - #1701202

Join us as a HR & Professional Services Sourcing Manager at Barclays, where you will optimize and address Barclays' third-party spend requirements, including defining, developing, and implementing approaches for relevant spend categories. You will work closely with the business on strategic sourcing and channel development/optimization.

1. Profile spend in the category area and understand business strategy, requirements, and cost levers. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify sourcing needs, develop RFPs, and align sourcing activities with bank priorities.


2. Plan and execute sourcing events, including RFPs/RFXs, and negotiate to meet business needs for value, speed, compliance, and risk.


3. Monitor controls and compliance throughout the sourcing cycle, including regulatory engagement, controls, audits, and data quality.


4. Develop, implement, and operate policies and procedures for sourcing activities, ensuring alignment with standards and regulations.


5. Identify and deliver process improvements and channel optimization strategies for relevant spend categories.


6. Stay informed on industry trends through conferences, training, and market research.

• Experience in sourcing management, category management, or procurement.


• Strong business and commercial acumen.


• Stakeholder management skills.


• Valued skills include negotiation, contract experience, vendor management systems knowledge, and industry-specific experience.


• CIPS certification or working towards it is preferred.

Assess key skills such as risk management, change, transformation, strategic thinking, and digital proficiency. The role can be based in Knutsford, Manchester, Northampton, or Glasgow.
