Your Role Will Include
- Leading technical work on peatland hydrology and restoration-from early-stage assessments to delivery and reporting.
- Overseeing project inputs such as hydrological surveys, peatland management plans, EIAR chapters, and feasibility reports.
- Acting as a senior point of contact for clients, regulators, and stakeholders across renewable energy, infrastructure, and land use sectors.
- Supporting and mentoring colleagues at all levels, helping to build confidence and close technical skill gaps within the team.
- Contributing to business development-scoping work, writing bids, and building trusted client relationships.
- Playing an active role in how the team improves, evolves, and succeeds.
- Significant experience in peatland hydrology (typically 10-15+ years).
- A relevant degree; postgraduate qualification or PhD a plus.
- Chartered membership of a relevant professional body.
- Solid understanding of environmental policy and planning frameworks in the UK.
- Hands-on experience with peatland and soils-related reporting (e.g. PLHRA, GWDTE, PWS).
- Clear, confident communication skills-and experience working directly with regulatory bodies.
- A proactive, collaborative mindset with a genuine interest in helping others grow.
- £55,000 - £65,000
- Flexible hybrid working (Glasgow base with home-working options)
