An opportunity is available for a 3rd Line Engineer & Team Lead to build and grow a team of support technicians supporting training systems for armed forces personnel.

We seek a skilled 3rd line support engineer with team lead experience to establish a team of 2nd/3rd line technicians. This role offers a chance to expand your IT knowledge and management skills. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential, along with a solid understanding of IT support. Opportunities for skill development through self-study and training are available. The role involves working with remote teams across the UK, and effective communication is crucial. As this is a customer-facing position, you'll liaise with clients to provide guidance and support, ensuring contractual expectations are met. You will also create processes and instructions to support our customers and partners, meeting KPIs and PIs.

Experience required:

• Knowledge of military security, Protected Document Register, and JSPs is advantageous.


• Engagement in projects beyond the immediate scope may occur. Maintaining high customer satisfaction by understanding and meeting their needs within your support role is essential.


• Leadership experience and an understanding of IT support and infrastructure are required. Knowledge of the following technologies is preferred:

• NetApp


• Virtualisation (VMWare vSphere)


• Microsoft Server 2019


• CISCO / Juniper Networks, Switches


• McAfee


• ITIL Processes
