The shift pattern for this role is Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with an on-call requirement.
Role Overview
Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Operational Estates is seeking an Estates Manager to oversee reactive and preventative maintenance within the hospital campus buildings.
Qualifications and Experience
- Applicants should have, or be working towards, a degree in an engineering or building discipline.
- The successful candidate will either currently hold an AfC Band 7 estates position within GG&C or possess the relevant educational qualifications and experience.
Key Requirements
- Extensive knowledge and experience in building maintenance, complex electrical/engineering systems, and water systems in large healthcare premises.
- Experience in estates management, statutory compliance, and operational guidance within a healthcare environment.
Skills and Competencies
- Good communication and management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a demanding environment.
- Ability to work independently, provide leadership, and foster positive relationships within and outside the organization.
- Participation in the managers on-call rota is essential.
