Job Opportunity: Band 6 Occupational Therapist

This is a permanent, full-time position.


The shift pattern for this role is Monday to Sunday.

Team and Location

Within South Sector, the AHP teams collaborate to ensure high-quality patient care. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the Older Peoples/GORU service at Gartnavel General Hospital on a permanent basis.


Qualifications and Experience

You must have a Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy and be registered with HCPC. Significant postgraduate experience, particularly in Older Peoples rehabilitation and GORU, is essential.


Role Responsibilities

  • Managing a complex caseload involving assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and discharge planning.

  • Providing clinical supervision to rotational staff, support workers, and students, including induction, training, and daily management.

  • Leading and participating in service development and change initiatives.

  • Engaging in continuous professional development, audit, and research.

This role involves weekend working.
