Compliance and Resource Programme Manager - #1707258

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Compliance and Resource Programme Manager to join Laboratory Genetics at the West of Scotland Centre for Genomic Medicine. The laboratory offers high-quality cytogenetic and molecular diagnostics to the West of Scotland (population 3 million) and Scotland-wide through the Scottish Genetics Laboratories Consortium and the Scottish Molecular Pathology Consortium. It is located in the state-of-the-art Laboratory Medicine building at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.

You will be part of a team of over 115 scientific and technical staff, working closely with the Head of Service and senior management to deliver the objectives of the Compliance and Resource Programme. We are looking for a driven scientist with proven knowledge, enthusiasm, and leadership skills to meet the challenges of this role.

Essential qualifications and experience include:

• State registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or equivalent


• Upper second or first class honours degree in a relevant scientific discipline


• Higher qualification such as FRCPath Part 1, MSc, or equivalent


• Knowledge of quality management, policies, legislation, and standards such as HSE, UKAS, ISO 15189:2012, COSHH, and risk assessment


• Experience in managing and directing staff

The working hours for this position are Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
