Head of HR – Home Based with Travel Across Scotland Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 per annum Are you an experienced and strategic HR leader looking for a new challenge? We are seeking a dynamic and driven Head of HR to lead our people strategy and HR operations across Scotland. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our workforce in a values-led and growing organisation. About the Role: As Head of HR, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the HR function, providing expert guidance to managers and senior leaders, and ensuring best practice across recruitment, employee relations, performance management, policy development, and compliance. While this is a home-based role, regular travel across Scotland is required to support our regional teams and services. Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective HR strategies aligned with organisational goals.
  • Lead a team of HR professionals, driving consistency and high performance.
  • Provide expert advice on complex employee relations matters and change management.
  • Oversee talent acquisition, retention, and succession planning.
  • Ensure legal compliance and maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment law.
  • Support organisational development and culture change initiatives.
  • Build strong partnerships with operational leaders across Scotland.
About You:
  • Proven experience in a senior HR role, ideally as a Head of HR or HR Director.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Demonstrable experience in leading organisational change and managing complex employee relations.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • CIPD qualified (Level 7 desirable).
  • Willingness to travel regularly across Scotland.
