GENERAL SUMMARY
Celeros FT is looking for a Head of Sourcing & Procurement who can develop a supply chain strategy while efficiently managing the execution of all procurement activities in support of the Cathcart ClydeUnion Pumps operations (near Glasgow, UK).
A key part of the leadership team in Cathcart, reporting to the Senior Director - Global Supply Chain, the successful candidate will possess the ability to develop high-performing teams and must enjoy the challenges of working in an engineered product environment.
As Head of Sourcing & Procurement, you will lead a team of procurement leaders, buyers and sourcing quality engineers, and will be accountable for managing the end-to-end procurement-to-pay process.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
As the Head of Sourcing & Procurement, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of a team of buyers and sourcing quality engineers responsible for providing high-quality goods and services. Either through your own efforts or those of your team, you will:

- Coach, lead, and develop team members to optimize organizational performance and enable succession planning.
- Manage day-to-day purchasing activities, ensuring that all buyers and sourcing quality engineers are meeting their personal performance goals and standards.
- Work proactively to avoid quality issues and lead the resolution of quality and level of service issues with suppliers.
- Identify material and equipment suppliers capable of providing goods and services that meet Celeros FT’s delivery requirements.
- Develop sourcing strategies with consideration to ongoing cost reduction, while projecting outcomes and tracking results.
- Bid, negotiate and contract as necessary to attain competitive pricing and terms for goods and services.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual departmental operating and capital budgets, while assuring functional costs stay within budget.

- Technical skills – the ability to read, interpret and understand drawings and specifications.
- Ability to travel ~10% of the time.
Education and Experience
- A degree in supply chain management, business management or other related disciplines is highly preferred. A master’s degree in a related field would be desirable.
- 5-to-10 years of experience in sourcing, supply chain or purchasing management with demonstrated experience in cost reduction, domestically and internationally.
- Depth of knowledge and experience in strategic, operational and tactical global sourcing & procurement.
- Strong background in the management of materials and sourcing within a design-to-order manufacturing environment.
- Experience in total quality, six sigma, or other similar environments.
- Working knowledge and understanding of ERP/MRP systems and their use in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to demonstrate solid written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A CIPS, CPM or APICS certification is helpful but not required.
- Manufacturing experience, preferably including experience with castings.
