A growing SaaS organisation is looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to help shape the future of its modern, cloud-based platform. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking company delivering innovative solutions to a specialised industry.

About the Role

As a key member of the development team, you’ll design, build, and maintain robust, scalable applications. You’ll contribute directly to the evolution of the company’s flagship platform, helping meet the complex needs of its customers. This is a permanent, full-time, remote position, with travel to the Glasgow office once per quarter.

What You’ll Do

  • Write clean, maintainable code using Agile and Test Driven Development (TDD) practices.

  • Develop deep understanding of customer use-cases and domain-specific challenges.

  • Translate business requirements into well-architected software solutions.

  • Collaborate with Business Analysts and QA Engineers in requirement and design sessions.

  • Write and optimise complex queries, views, triggers, and functions for relational databases.

  • Participate in code reviews and pair programming sessions.

  • Analyse and evaluate the impact of changes across systems and infrastructure.

  • Document software for maintainability and operational handover.

  • Support production deployments and provide third-level support during business hours.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong experience in professional software development, ideally with C# or Java.

  • Proficiency with modern JavaScript frameworks such as VueJS, React, Angular, or Blazor WebAssembly.

  • Familiarity with Agile development and modern DevOps practices.

  • A degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering (or equivalent professional experience).

  • Experience writing automated tests (e.g., NUnit, Jest).

  • Knowledge of both relational and non-relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cosmos DB).

About the Organisation

This SaaS company delivers a cloud-based platform supporting clients in a high-impact, research-driven sector. Their solution streamlines critical business operations for their customers, allowing them to focus on their core work. The development team is committed to staying ahead of the curve, continuously evolving the platform with cutting-edge technology.

What’s In It for You?

  • A supportive and entrepreneurial environment where innovation is encouraged.

  • A strong culture focused on collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement.

  • A competitive package with a comprehensive range of employee benefits.
