Were looking for a skilled and motivated Mechanical Fitter to join our clients dynamic Contracts Delivery Team, based in East Kilbride.
If youve got experience installing pumps, pipework, valves and rotating equipment and youre looking to do meaningful work that keeps critical infrastructure running we want to hear from you.
Youll work on a variety of mechanical installation projects across Scotland, mainly within the water and wastewater sector. No two days are the same, and every job matters.
Our client has over the past 40 years become a major force in the world of water pumps and associated equipment, providing a wide range of services to an extremely broad and varied client base across Scotland.
They provide full back up repair and maintenance coverage for the products, equipment, and services they supply and install in a variety of industries such as Agricultural, Oil & Gas, Marine, Biogas, Brewing & Distilling, Water & Power Leisure, and Food Processing.
What Youll Be Doing
Mechanical installation of pumps, screens, and rotating equipment
Pipework and valve assembly (PVC, ABS, ductile iron, stainless, galvanised)
Working on projects across Scotland mostly in the water & wastewater sectors
Collaborating closely with engineers, electricians, and project teams
Following technical drawings, method statements, and H&S procedures
What Were Looking For
Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter
Comfortable assembling and installing pipework and pump systems
Organised, self-motivated, and able to work to tight deadlines
Solid understanding of tools, materials, and trade techniques
Good communication skills both verbal and written
Familiarity with Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and H&S legislation
A real team player, ready to muck in when needed
Salary is circa £41,000 plus Overtime, vehicle allowance, test gear, PPE, plant and equipment, sick pay, 25 Days Holiday + 9 Statutory Days and Company pension scheme.
