Legal Director - Private Client – Legal500 Firm


Working Model: Hybrid (smart working approach)


An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced Private Client solicitor to join a prominent Legal500 firm as a Legal Director - Private Client. This is a key strategic hire within a firm that is entering a new phase of growth, with Private Client work at the forefront of their expansion plans.


The Opportunity


Joining a well-established team, you will take on a leadership role within the firm’s highly respected Private Client division. You will play a vital role in shaping the department's future, working closely with the firm’s other practice areas, including family and business law, to deliver a seamless, client-focused service.


This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious solicitor looking for a role that offers significant career progression within a leading firm.


Key Responsibilities:



  1. Lead and manage a varied and often complex caseload of Private Client matters.

  2. Advise clients on trusts, estate planning, succession law, and complex wills.

  3. Supervise and mentor team members across the team.

  4. Collaborate with key stakeholders across the firm to strengthen the Private Client offering.

  5. Drive business development initiatives and contribute to the firm’s ongoing growth.

  6. Conduct internal training and contribute to the development of best practices within the department.


About You:


8+ years PQE with extensive Private Client experience.


Strong knowledge of succession law, estate administration, and complex will drafting.


A client-focused approach, delivering pragmatic and tailored legal advice.


Proven leadership skills with experience in mentoring and developing junior lawyers.


A collaborative, forward-thinking approach with the ability to drive change.
