The Marine HR Department


The Marine HR Department is playing a critical role in ensuring that our organization have a skilled and competent workforce to support our operations. We arrange and coordinate all aspects relative to Worksite Personnel being employed, paid, appointed, joining and leaving Client Worksites, all in accordance with the company Quality Management System and associated work processes and client specific requirements. What You will Do


Prepare, follow-up and ensure that timely rotation schedules are executed, and joiners have complete and proper documentation before boarding. Sourcing additional staff needed for increase in business.


Roles and Responsibilities



  • Coordinate with Recruitment on candidates for officers and crew for new induction

  • Crew Rotations and coordinating crew changes with Agents and vessels


-Follow advanced planning of reliefs and regular communication with seafarers (direct hire) or manning agencies to ensure timely relief


  • Issuance of Employment contracts and joining documents

-Provide all needed joining documents in a timely manner


-Ensure that all joining documents are filled out, signed, and uploaded in Crew Inspector


  • Dry Dock/ Technicians/ Special projects preparations/ Ship Startups

-Help Technical Department with sourcing and processing extra crew/ Technicians upon receipt of the filled out 'Extra crew/ Technician forms


  • Flag Endorsements, Polar code requirements and Endorsements, Madeira Tax forms

-Ensure all officers have flag endorsements / SRA/ CRA prior to flying out from their home country


-Ensure that all deck officers onboard the vessels trading in polar waters fulfil the polar code requirements and have polar code endorsements


-Apply for Madeira tax numbers for all seafarers onboard Madeira-flagged vessels


  • Payroll processing, OPEX reviews

-Process monthly payroll and request for funding from Accounting


-Review and provide explanation for the variances above/ below 5% in the OPEX reports


  • Travel and manning agency invoices (review and approve)

-Review and approve coded invoices in Eye-Share


  • Other duties as needed

What We Are Looking For


Education: 4-year course graduate, business or maritime preferred.


Experience: At least 3 years' experience in a reputable cruise manning company. Preferred with sea-going experience on a cruise ship.


Specific Business Knowledge: Experience of crewing in cruise industry, STCW documentation, fair knowledge in Accounting, budgets, and OPEXs.
