Commercial Interior Design specialists, Surface – ID are looking for a senior or mid-weight designer UK to work on their Hospitality, F&B and Leisure projects. Over the last 20 years, our friendly enthusiastic team has been instrumental in creating inspiring and varied new brands and stand-alone venues in a fast-paced and lively sector.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced, ambitious designer to join a dynamic and fun loving design studio and work as part of the team on a number of exciting high-end commercial leisure projects for big brands and private clients.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in the commercial interior design industry and have knowledge of working on projects from concept to completion. They should have very strong design and technical skills together with excellent teamwork and social skills.

Responsibilities and Requirements

• Developing and implementing new concepts/designs for various projects and overseeing them to completion.

• Collaborating with the wider design teams to obtain knowledge of the clients’ requirements and ensure full integration between design disciplines.

• Working alongside a team of interior designers to help them use their skills effectively.

• Be a senior point of contact with clients, consultants, and contractors

• Proven experience as a senior or mid-level interior designer in a similar creative role.

• Minimum of 3 - 5 years experience working in the hospitality sector.

• Hand-on experience of the full creative process from initial concept design through to detailed design/drgs, site supervision, FF and E and completion

• Excellent knowledge of industry standard software including: AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup, InDesign, Photoshop, or equivalents

• A strong network of industry contacts.

• Graduate level qualification in Interior Design, equivalent in a relevant field.

• A strong, eye-catching portfolio.
