Role Overview: The Supplier Relationship Manager will be responsible for managing and optimising the relationships between OCS and its suppliers and subcontractors within a hard services facilities management (FM) environment. This role will focus on a national retail account, ensuring that all supplier interactions align with company objectives, budgets, and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary liaison for suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring clear and effective communication.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships between OCS and its suppliers, ensuring mutual understanding and collaboration.
- Oversee and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure they are met in line with company budgets and expectations.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous terms and pricing while ensuring compliance with company policies and objectives.
- Develop and implement supplier performance evaluation metrics to assess and improve supplier quality, delivery, and service levels.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with supplier reliability and product quality, implementing contingency plans as necessary.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers, focusing on process enhancements and cost reduction strategies.
- Manage the supplier onboarding process, ensuring all necessary documentation and certifications are obtained and maintained.
- Resolve disputes and manage conflicts with suppliers in a timely and effective manner to minimize impact on business operations.
- Organise and lead cross-functional team meetings to review supplier performance, discuss challenges, and plan future procurement strategies.
Qualifications:
- Must be willing to travel.
- Proven experience in supplier relationship management within a hard services FM environment.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and implement performance metrics.
- Experience in risk management and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
