This is a unique opportunity to work within a highly regarded and ranked team, led by an esteemed partner, that provides expert services in executry administration, succession planning, tax advice, and trust work.

The Role:

As an Associate in the Private Client team, you will manage a diverse portfolio of clients, with a focus on:

  • Trusts, including complex trust matters.

  • High-net-worth or cross-border executries.

  • Tax planning and advising family business clients.

  • Contentious private client work, such as challenges to wills, beneficiary disagreements, legal rights claims, and trust disputes.

You will also work closely with a senior partner on intricate trust issues and contentious matters, often intersecting with partnership or company disputes. Additionally, you’ll support junior team members in their development.

About You:

  • Scottish qualified Solicitor

  • Possess 4+ years of PQE ideally with significant experience in tax and trusts, including contentious matters would be a bonus.

  • Be STEP-qualified (or working towards full qualification) or ATT/CTA-qualified (or working towards full qualification).

  • Be proactive in managing your workload and supporting both partners and junior colleagues.

  • Demonstrate excellent technical skills, a strong client focus, and the ability to deliver high-quality work on time.

  • Be comfortable with business development activities, networking, and fostering client relationships.

What’s on Offer:

  • The chance to develop your career in a client-centric environment.

  • Support for additional qualifications and professional development (the firm is a STEP Platinum Employer Partner).

  • An opportunity to work in a friendly, supportive, and collaborative team.
