Role Overview:


As Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple live sites across the Essex area. You’ll oversee all aspects of project delivery, ensuring quality, safety, and cost-efficiency while leading and supporting site teams. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Oversee delivery of multiple groundworks and enabling projects across the region

  • Manage site teams, subcontractors, plant and materials to meet programme targets

  • Ensure strict compliance with health & safety standards and company procedures

  • Coordinate with commercial, engineering, and procurement teams to optimise delivery

  • Maintain strong communication with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders

  • Resolve site issues proactively and drive projects to successful completion

  • Review project performance and manage risk, cost, and resource planning


What We’re Looking For


Essential:



  • Demonstrable experience as a Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager in groundworks or enabling works

  • Solid technical knowledge of drainage, foundations, earthworks, and infrastructure

  • Strong leadership and site coordination skills

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities

  • SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications

  • Full UK driving licence


Desirable:



  • Experience working with Tier 1 contractors or developers

  • Background in civil engineering or site management

  • Strong commercial acumen and familiarity with project costing and planning tools
