Door Engineer - #1756864

Apex Resources are looking to speak with qualified Door Engineers within Glasgow and surrounding areas as travel may be required depending on workloads.

Shift: Dayshift

Pay : Ranging from £16-£19ph doe

• Experience within the industrial door industry is preferred
• Desirable qualifications include: IPAF, CSCS, PASMA and/or City & Guilds
• Full UK drivers licence
• Ability to communicate well
• Ability to read and understand general arrangement drawings and measure out appropriately

Key Duties/Responsibilities

• Mechanical installation ( plus electrical if qualified) of manual and electrical rolling and folding steel shutters and doors.
• Maintenance and proper use of all appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Carrying out activities in accordance project specific Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
• Completion of a Point of Work Risk Assessment prior to undertaking works.
• Manual handling and / or use of trolleys / bogies for horizontal transfer of materials.
• Measuring and drilling fixing holes in supporting structures as indicated on general arrangement drawings.
• At all times ensure that works are completed in a safe manner and that unfinished works are secure and do not pose a risk of damage to persons or property.
• Checking and testing products following completion of activities.
• Off-hire plant and equipment.
