The Role

Day to day duties

  • Take a dynamic and flexible approach to decision making, using live data to recognise when different approaches are required.
  • Present a range of possible decision-making options to stakeholders, highlighting the positive and negative implications of each to reach a decision.
  • Identify and extract relevant data to support a decision from a large volume and wide range of sources.
  • Consistently demonstrate awareness and sound judgement on decisions which are able to be made autonomously and escalate those that cannot to more senior stakeholders.
  • Actively review and adapt past decisions where data suggests original expectations are not being met.

Efficiency:

  • Deal effectively with conflicting objectives, priorities, and agendas.
  • Draw upon organisational data, understanding of market trends, and latest thinking to identify and take forward ideas for improvements and efficiencies.
  • Lead the way with digital transformation initiatives through clear understanding of the program and embedding throughout their team.
  • Critically assess effective use of time, for example ensuring all meetings have a defined purpose and agreed output.

Leading People:

  • Communicate direction clearly and bring colleagues along on the journey balancing business priorities and people priorities with respect.
  • Trust and appropriately empower team members.

  • Critically assess the value of business development efforts and take steps to refine own and team strategies that are underperforming.
  • Lead and build own client portfolio, demonstrating fee growth from existing services and evidence of successfully introducing new services.
  • Identify the commercial realities of a client engagement and seek agreement across service lines on approach to fee setting and fee growth.
  • Articulate the value proposition for the services the team delivers to support fee growth.

What we are looking for

  • ACA/ACCA or CPI/ICAEW qualified
  • Insolvency experience is essential for the role as you will need to be confident in managing asset valuations and realisations independently
  • Ability to work to deadlines when reporting on case progress
  • Experienced case handler
