Are you working in the power, energy or infrastructure sectors, but lacking the opportunity to apply your engineering skills and knowledge to society’s biggest issues? Are you frustrated by the shortage of opportunities for improving our world provided by your current role? Do you want to move beyond technical design or analysis and take responsibility for solving broader systems problems and developing technology strategy and policy?

Our growing Technology Management group in Glasgow, is seeking to recruit Energy System Transition and Clean Technology Consultants with existing knowledge of energy transmission and distribution networks, technology development and integration, and innovation lifecycles. Candidates should possess an ability to synthesise high-level perspectives, breakdown complex problems and manage the delivery of projects that provide our clients with clear recommendations underpinned by technical analysis.

You would work across all sectors, with a particular focus on supporting gas and electricity transmission and distribution and energy generation clients. Your input will support their technical decision making, helping them: navigate the energy transition towards NetZero; gain greater performance from their assets, protect their business operations, and make their long-term invest plans. We anticipate that you will have an engineering or physical science degree and some existing professional experience working in sectors such as renewables, energy transmission/distribution, utilities or power generation; although candidates who have come from other consultancy roles, or from technology strategy roles, will also be considered.

At Frazer-Nash we pride ourselves in using modern systems engineering methods to help our clients solve their high value technical problems.
