My client, a large, highly:experienced Multidisciplinary Consultancy is currently searching for a Hydrologist to join their growing team of engineering and design experts in the lively Scottish city of Glasgow.
Essential Criteria
: A Degree in Civil Engineering, Geography, Mathematics or other, similar discipline
: Experience of working with Flood Risk Assessments, Flood Risk Mitigation, and SuDS
: Practical knowledge and application of drainage design and sewerage connections
: Good working knowledge of agreements S104 and S106, and their relevant applications within the industry
: Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage WinDES, and other, similar software packages
It would also benefit applicants for the role of Hydrologist to possess the following skills:
: Good general knowledge of mathematics
: Working knowledge of the Microsoft Windows software systems (including Excel, Word, etc.)
Responsibilities
In the diverse role of Hydrologist, you will join a specialist team of experts in their respective fields, with a view to developing and progressing within your career. The role will involve a variety of responsibilities, including:
: Producing drainage designs to align with industry standards
: Completing Flood Risk Assessments and Flood Risk Mitigation projects
: Preparing calculations and drawings for drainage systems, aligning with the relevant Section Agreements, particularly S104, S106, and other agreements
: Liaising with clients and other stakeholders, across the public and private sectors
