The shift pattern for this position is Monday – Friday, 9-5.
(Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.
We are looking for a creative, innovative and experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist who is confident in his or her core skills to work within the multidisciplinary community team for Alcohol & Drugs Recovery Services in Inverclyde. You will need to have excellent communication and negotiation skills and a collaborative clinical style will be essential. Responsibilities will include the application of specialist occupational therapy knowledge and skills in a recovery approach for people with alcohol or drugs dependency. A key role is enabling clients with self-manage techniques in their recovery e.g. functional assessment, structure to their day including vocational rehabilitation, access to leisure and education and employability through individual and group work. The post will offer the opportunity to work with other professions in the integrated health and social care ADRS, across inpatient/day services, and partner agencies.
There will be opportunity, during induction, to spend time with OT colleagues in the Glasgow Addiction services and you will be encouraged to engage with the OT in Addictions Specialist Interest Group. You will receive professional support and supervision from the Lead Occupational Therapist, will gain access to appropriate training and will have protected CPD time.
