HGV Technician required for Modern Workshop in the Glasgow area

A forward-thinking and expanding waste services operator is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join their fleet maintenance team. This is a full-time, permanent role offering job stability, career progression, and the chance to work with a well-maintained fleet in a purpose-built facility.

Your Day-to-Day:

• Carry out diagnostics, repairs, and regular maintenance on HGVs (DAF and Isuzu fleet)


• Support compliance through preventative inspections and safety checks


• Collaborate with external providers for scheduled MOT and inspection cycles


• Log all work completed and parts used in accordance with internal procedures


• Work closely with operations to manage vehicle downtime effectively

What We’re Looking For in a HGV Technician:

• Proven background as an HGV Technician or Mechanic
  


• Recognised qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Vehicle Maintenance
  


• Strong mechanical and diagnostic knowledge, ideally with DAF or Isuzu vehicles
  


• Confident working independently or as part of a small in-house team


• Willingness to support occasional overtime and out-of-hours callouts if needed
