Overview:

Our client is seeking a strategic and operational leader to oversee engineering maintenance operations in Glasgow. This senior role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of safe, compliant, and high-quality maintenance services while driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the accountable post holder for the Part 145 maintenance operation, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Deliver consistent, high-quality maintenance services in line with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, aiming for year-on-year cost efficiencies.
  • Foster a positive employee relations environment to support change and enhance operational practices.
  • Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with suppliers, internal safety teams, CAMO, and regulatory authorities.
  • Identify and maximize third-party commercial opportunities.
  • Ensure maintenance processes align with statutory airworthiness standards and compare favorably against industry benchmarks.

Candidate Profile:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in managing large-scale engineering maintenance operations within complex industrial environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of airworthiness compliance, engineering practices, and health & safety legislation.
  • Proven ability in supplier management, commercial strategy, and implementing business transformation initiatives.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to inspire and influence across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Adept at maintaining composure under pressure, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
  • Holds a relevant technical qualification (e.g., Aircraft Maintenance Licence, Engineering Degree) and familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies.
