Taylor & Martin Property Management

We’re on the lookout for an organised, proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our finance team. This is a varied and hands-on role that supports the day-to-day financial running of the business — ideal for someone with experience in accounts payable/receivable or general finance support, looking for a long-term role in a quality-driven, people-centred environment.

What you will be doing:

Accounts Payable & Invoicing

  • Daily monitoring and management of the accounts email inbox
  • Processing weekly client refunds efficiently and accurately
  • Posting monthly concierge charges to client accounts
  • Raising quarterly developer-specific invoices
  • Preparing consolidated invoices for selected developments

Accounts Receivable

  • Processing client card payments by phone
  • Logging and processing cheque payments
  • Managing ad hoc fund transfers between client accounts and operational floats

Banking & Reconciliations

  • Sending daily updates on client account balances
  • Depositing cash and cheques at the bank/post office
  • Reconciling sinking fund accounts (monthly, by region)
  • Posting interest income to sinking fund ledgers

Client and Team Communication

  • Triaging and resolving daily accounts queries via phone and email
  • Assisting owners with Direct Debit setup
  • Supporting weekly team calls and contributing to finance team cohesion

Other Responsibilities

  • Utility debt chasing
  • Managing and updating development schedules as needed

You’ll Be Great In This Role If You:

  • Have experience in a finance admin, accounts payable/receivable, or bookkeeping role
  • Are confident using Excel and financial software (knowledge of CPL or Xero is a plus)
  • Are a natural organiser who thrives on structure and task completion
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and colleagues
  • Take pride in accuracy, detail, and doing things the right way
  • We’re not just another factoring company. Our team genuinely cares — about each other, our clients, and getting things right. We’re building something special and we’re looking for great people to come along for the journey.

Benefits:

  • Company events
  • Company pension
  • Gym membership
  • On-site parking
  • Referral programme

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Holidays
  • Monday to Friday

Work Location: In person
