Syme Drummond is delighted to be partnering with a leading Scottish law firm to recruit a full-time Legal PA to support their busy Property & Construction team.

In this key support role, you’ll work closely with a dynamic group of eight fee earners—from trainees to managing partners—providing comprehensive PA assistance. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing complex diaries and arranging travel (primarily UK-based, with occasional international trips), overseeing mailboxes, handling calls, formatting legal documents, and coordinating internal and client events. You’ll also take ownership of billing processes, prepare WIP and financial progress reports, manage team allocations, track open matters, and process expenses—all while ensuring smooth and efficient support across the team.

What we’re looking for:

• Extensive experience as a Legal PA in a fast-paced law firm environment – this is essential
• Confidence working with reports, figures, and professional correspondence
• A calm, proactive, and highly organised approach
• Strong multitasking and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively at all levels
• A flexible team player who thrives in a collaborative culture
• Experience within the construction or property legal sectors is highly desirable
