Observability Engineer Contract - Glasgow (Onsite) We are working with a leading technology organisationin search of an experienced Observability Engineerto support their dynamic team in Glasgow. This is an onsite contract roleoffering an exciting opportunity to make an immediate impact on critical monitoring and performance systems. About the Role: As an Observability Engineer, you will play a key role in enhancing the organisations system monitoring and performance visibility. You will ensure that robust observability solutions are in place to support the seamless operation of complex technology environments. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated contractor with strong monitoring expertise who can quickly integrate and deliver meaningful results.

Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and manage observability and monitoring solutions across key systems and platforms. Ensure system health and performance are continuously tracked and optimised. Collaborate with infrastructure, development, and operations teams to develop effective monitoring strategies.

Identify performance bottlenecks and proactively resolve system issues. Contribute to observability best practices, tooling improvements, and reporting capabilities. Key Requirements: Proven experience in observability, or system monitoring.

Strong knowledge of monitoring tools and observability platforms (e.g. Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, New Relic, or similar). Solid understanding of infrastructure, system performance, and application behaviour. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex environments.
