A rapidly growing Engineering & Construction services contractor, renowned for working on some of the UKs most exciting Infrastructure projects, are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team at their growing office in South Lanarkshire. In this role, you will take charge of the financial management of infrastructure & construction and projects, overseeing cost estimation, contract administration, and project management. Your expertise will be key in ensuring the projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities to include, but not limited to:Collaborate with internal departmentsincluding engineering, planning, and delivery teamsto ensure financial objectives are aligned with project milestones. Manage the procurement and ongoing commercial oversight of subcontractors, including negotiating agreements, certifying valuations, and resolving discrepancies. Prepare and submit detailed interim payment applications and final accounts in line with contractual requirements.

Monitor and manage contract variations, ensuring all changes are costed, justified, and formally recorded. Administer all aspects of project contracts, with a particular emphasis on NEC3 and NEC4 forms, including the issuing and tracking of early warnings and compensation events. Conduct regular site visits and actively participate in project meetings to maintain a strong commercial presence and build effective client relationships.

Ensure all commercial practices adhere to company procedures and legal obligations, supporting safe, compliant project delivery. Support dispute resolution processes and maintain accurate records to protect the businesss financial and contractual interests. Essential requirements:Significant hands-on experience in quantity surveying, ideally gained within infrastructure or similar large-scale construction sectors.

Strong working knowledge of contract management principles, particularly under NEC3/NEC4, JCT, and other commonly used contract frameworks. Confident in reviewing and interpreting detailed architectural and structural drawings to support commercial decisions. A self-driven and highly motivated individual who can manage tasks autonomously and take ownership of responsibilities.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build lasting relationships with clients, colleagues, and subcontractors. JBRP1_UKTJ
