NHS Scotland

Date: 1 day ago
City: Glasgow
Contract type: Part time
Work schedule: Full day
NHS Scotland
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

This post is fixed term for 2 years and the shift pattern for this post is two days per week and the salary is pro rata for part time hours.

An exciting 2 day per week job-share secondment opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join the West of Scotland Cancer Network as a Regional Manager (Cancer). This pivotal role offers the chance to work as part of a regional team, contributing to the development and delivery of national cancer policy and strategy. The post holder will work with the Network Clinical Lead, senior clinical and managerial teams, and Scottish Government colleagues, ensuring strong, effective partnerships across the Region and Scotland. The successful applicant will be working in conjunction with the current post-holder, who has recently taken partial retirement and is now working 3 days per week. This offers valuable continuity and support to the Network and a valuable opportunity for those who may aspire to a full-time post in the future. Applicants should bring significant NHS management experience, have a strong track record of leading complex initiatives, influencing diverse stakeholders and demonstrate excellent communication and organisational leadership skills. In-depth knowledge and experience of working in cancer care with senior clinicians would be highly advantageous.
