(Assistant) Project Manager – Onshore Wind (Glasgow | Hybrid, 3 days/week)

If you’re looking for a true Step Up in Project Management within the Renewables Sector – with a direct & actionable pathway into Senior roles – you’ll like this one, as you’ll be working with a Leading Investor/Developer in the Wind space.

This role focuses on real project delivery, giving your ownership of Onshore Wind Farms within Scotland, where your job is to keep things running smoothly – the “O” in O&M, ensuring assets remain safe, compliant and optimised.

What you’ll be doing:

In short – Project Management!

Day-to-day, you’ll help manage the delivery, maintenance and ongoing running of a key Onshore Wind Project, owning the key worksteams. And:

  • Managing grid interfaces and connection obligations
  • Overseeing engineering tasks, technical queries and contractor deliverables
  • Supporting contract procurement, placement and administration
  • Driving HSE and CDM compliance across all activities
  • Handling planning condition discharge and regulatory interactions
  • Tracking performance, risks, reporting and commercial impacts
  • Resolving issues quickly to keep the assets running safely and efficiently

Beyond this, the scope of the role has baked-in learning & development, from shadowing the Senior PM Team, continuous Learning and Development and building your understanding of industry-leading best practice.

What you’ll bring

  • Relevant Degree – Engineering, Renewables etc.
  • Around 3 years in onshore wind, solar or BESS (or strong transferable experience).
  • Experience supporting project delivery at multiple stages.
  • Understanding of contracts, deliverables and payment processes.
  • Familiarity with grid operators and connection milestones.
  • Awareness of project economics, QA and CDM Regulations.
  • Comfortable with tools like AutoCAD, GIS, PVSyst.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and translate technical detail into commercial outcomes.
  • (If you’re not quite there on a point or two, don’t worry! This role is about your progression, too!).

Working pattern

  • Glasgow office: 3 days per week plus Home Office & Site Visits.
  • Hybrid, supportive, straightforward culture.

Why this role stands out

  • A genuine step up into real delivery responsibility.
  • Exposure to the operational side of onshore wind.
  • Excellent Investment and proven expertise already.
  • Clear path to full Project Manager.
  • You’ll be the person who makes the project run, not just report on it.
