Senior Solicitor / Associate (2+ PQE) – Employment
Location: Aberdeen (Hybrid)
Salary: £57,500 to £71,500 plus Bonus and Benefits

We are partnered with a leading Scottish independent firm to recruit for their Employment team based in Aberdeen. The team is consistently ranked in the legal directories and is recognised for advising a broad range of UK and international clients on complex and high-value employment matters.

The Role

You will work closely with an experienced partner and wider team advising on a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious employment law matters. The role offers a varied caseload including employment litigation, day-to-day HR advisory work, and transactional support.

Key responsibilities will include drafting tribunal submissions and witness statements, advising on employee relations issues, reviewing and preparing contracts, policies and procedures, and supporting on corporate transactions. You will also be involved in negotiating settlement agreements, delivering client training, and contributing to business development initiatives.

There will be opportunities to take ownership of client relationships and to support the supervision and development of junior team members.

About You

The firm is keen to hear from solicitors with 2+ years’ PQE in employment law, ideally gained within a commercial environment. You will be a strong communicator with a pragmatic, client-focused approach and the ability to manage a varied caseload.

Experience of employment litigation and advisory work is essential, and any exposure to supporting corporate transactions or working with a diverse client base would be advantageous.
