My client is a leading provider of managed IT, cybersecurity, connectivity and unified communications solutions, supporting SMEs and mid-market organisations across the UK.


Role Overview:

We are seeking an ambitious and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our growing commercial team in Glasgow.


The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic client relationships and driving revenue growth across our portfolio of telecoms, connectivity, managed IT and cloud solutions.


This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated sales professional with experience in B2B telecoms, IT services or technology solutions who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate new business opportunities through networking, referrals, prospecting and outbound sales activity
  • Develop and manage a healthy sales pipeline using CRM systems
  • Conduct meetings, presentations and solution demonstrations with prospective clients
  • Identify customer challenges and propose tailored telecoms and IT solutions
  • Sell across our service portfolio including: Unified Communications, Business VoIP, Connectivity & Mobile, Managed IT Services, Cybersecurity Solutions and Cloud Services
  • Build long-term relationships with SME and mid-market customers
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets and KPIs
  • Work collaboratively with technical and delivery teams to ensure smooth onboarding of new clients
  • Attend networking events, exhibitions and industry functions
  • Maintain strong market awareness including competitor activity and emerging technology trends
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reports


Skills & Experience Required:

Essential:

  • Proven experience in a Business Development, B2B Sales role
  • Background within telecoms, IT managed services, cloud, cybersecurity or technology solutions
  • Strong new business generation and closing skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation abilities
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Experience using CRM systems
  • Full UK driving licence
