Applications Engineer

What will I be doing?

As an Applications Engineer, you will be instrumental in supporting our largest customers in delivering manufacturing projects.


You will provide on-site technical support, delivering full turn-key projects (Programming), guiding customers on methods of manufacture, advising customers of the right tool for the right job, and everything in between.


You will be able to position the MSC brand as a vehicle for their growth by delivering the cost savings we have promised in the contract. Showcasing your excellence and adding value to our customers will ensure we continue to exceed our customers’ expectations, which will encourage further growth for MSC.


Associate Competencies

  • Broad understanding of engineering disciplines (Aerospace desirable)
  • CAD / CAM Experience (Preferably Siemens NX/Hypermill)
  • Recent experiences of Proving out / Running of CNC Machines
  • Ability to understand and edit NC code
  • Good knowledge of cutting tools and associated brands
  • Be competent in running cutting tool trials on-site
  • Commercial mindset with the intent of driving profit growth
  • Great communication skills to convey the MSC value proposition
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, keeping CRM systems updated
  • Autonomy of role using a high degree of intensity and professionalism, to get the task completed and keep all relevant parties up to date
