Our client has combined experience in the Warehousing and Logistics industry spanning over a number of years.
Your new role
The Company is seeking to appoint a competent and experienced Transport Coordinator. The role involves day-to-day interactions with drivers (heavy haulage Artics) and their customers taking orders and processing jobs. Applicants must be computer-literate, able to motivate themselves and the team, and drum up work from our existing client base. This role is ideally suited to an individual with a keen interest in transport and distribution who can demonstrate a proven record of effective and efficient transport knowledge.
What you'll need to succeed
Good geographical knowledge of the UK with knowledge and understanding of Driver's Working Time Regulations and Driver's CPC legislation. An effective team player with excellent organisational skills. Good IT skills and exposure to route planning software or equivalent. Transport-related experience preferred. The successful candidate will demonstrate a clear understanding of the priorities of organising and running commercial traffic, a keen eye for detail and accuracy, the ability to learn quickly, professional confidence and clear communication skills, together with a familiarity with common computer packages, i.e. Microsoft Office or equivalent.
What you'll get in return
They are offering a salary of between £35,000 and £36,000 with free on-site parking.
