Mechanical Design Engineer Building Services - #2080895

We are seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical/Senior Design Engineer to join our clients growing Building Services team in Glasgow. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects across the education, healthcare, industrial, leisure and data centre sectors.

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality mechanical building services designs from concept through to completion, working closely with clients, architects, contractors and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and specification of mechanical building services system
• Produce detailed calculations, reports, specifications and technical drawing
• Develop designs using industry-standard software including AutoCAD, Revit and mechanical design calculation package
• Attend client meetings, site visits and design team workshop
• Coordinate designs with electrical, structural and architectural discipline
• Support project delivery to agreed timescales, budgets and quality standards
• Assist with technical reviews, value engineering and sustainability initiatives
• Ensure designs comply with current UK regulations, standards and best practice

Qualifications/Experience

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline
• Experience in mechanical building services design consultancy
• Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and industry standard
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit and mechanical calculation package
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skill
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative tea
