Shunter Driver Class 1 - #2086173

We are recruiting for Relief Shunter Drivers at our Bellshill Depot within the Muller Milk and Ingredients Distribution Business.

This role is Relief Shunter Drivers for holiday/sickness cover therefore must be flexible to work any 5 from 7 covering days/backs/nights/weekends.

Contract: Full Time / Permanent

Location: Muller Milk & Ingredients, Site 2, 3 Noremac Way, Bellshill, ML4 3NY

Shift Pattern: 5 from 7 covering days/backs/nights/weekends - role will be yard based

Hourly Rate: £16.63 -£28.51 per hour (Plus £20 weekly supplement)

Overtime rate: £18.71

Class 1 Shunter Driver Key Skills & Experience

• Terberg experience (mandatory)
• HGV Class 1 Licence (mandatory)
• Current CPC and digital driving card (mandatory)
• No more than 6 minor points on driving licence (No CDs, DDs, DRs or INs)
• An effective team member who works well on their own initiative
• Demonstrates an excellent attitude to work
• Self – motivated with a positive attitude and extremely reliable
• Must be comfortable with the physical nature of the role

Class 1 Shunter Driver Role & Responsibilities

• Coordinate the onsite bay movements ensuring that all equipment is fully compliant
• Puts safety first and respects all other road users.
• Diligent in ensuring driver and vehicle checks are completed correctly.
• Conduct regular checks on all vehicles and trailers to ensure they meet the necessary safety and compliance standards. If a vehicle or trailer is not compliant defect to the workshop for repairs or maintenance.
• Prioritise, assess, and control safety, health, and workplace risks. Identify potential hazards and take preventive measures.
