Via is supporting a leading sports hospitality and events business in the search for an ambitious Head of Sales to lead and develop a high-performing new business team.

This is an opportunity to join one of the UK's most established providers of premium experiences across sport and entertainment, working with prestigious events and high-value corporate clients.

We're looking for a hands-on sales leader who enjoys building successful teams, coaching talent and leading from the front. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and want to combine personal billing with team leadership, this could be the ideal next step.


The Opportunity

As Head of Sales, you'll lead a team of Business Development Executives responsible for generating new revenue and developing relationships with corporate clients.

This is a true player-manager role. You'll be responsible for your own sales performance while coaching and developing your team to consistently exceed targets.

Working closely with senior leadership, you'll have the opportunity to influence sales strategy, improve processes and play a key role in the continued growth of the business.


What You'll Be Doing

Leadership & Team Development

  • Recruiting, onboarding and developing new sales talent
  • Delivering regular coaching, training and performance reviews
  • Creating a high-performance culture built around accountability and success
  • Managing attendance, activity levels and team standards
  • Supporting individuals to maximise their potential


Driving Performance

  • Owning team revenue targets and KPIs
  • Monitoring pipeline health and conversion metrics
  • Identifying opportunities to improve results and increase productivity
  • Motivating the team to consistently exceed expectations


Leading From The Front

  • Managing your own sales pipeline
  • Prospecting, pitching and closing new business opportunities
  • Demonstrating best-in-class sales behaviours
  • Setting the benchmark for professionalism and performance


Strategic Contribution

  • Working alongside senior leaders to enhance sales processes
  • Supporting key negotiations and high-value opportunities
  • Identifying new routes to market and growth opportunities
  • Ensuring a premium client experience across the team


What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience leading and developing successful sales teams
  • Strong background in outbound business development and new business sales
  • Experience managing KPIs, pipelines and revenue targets
  • A player-manager mindset with the ability to balance leadership and personal billing
  • Excellent coaching and mentoring skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation ability
  • A resilient, energetic and highly driven approach
  • Passion for sport, events or hospitality would be advantageous
