Salary: SP55–58 (£72,617 – £77,928)
Hours: 35 hours per week
Location: 350 Darnick Street, Glasgow G21 4BA
The Role
City Building is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead the delivery of key projects and transformation initiatives aligned to our strategic goals.
You will oversee project frameworks, governance and delivery practices, whilst leading a team of Project Managers to ensure effective planning, prioritisation and outcomes.
Working with senior stakeholders, you will translate priorities into clear programmes, manage risks and performance, and drive continuous improvement across all delivery activity.
This is a strategic leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a complex environment and can drive alignment, accountability and value.
What you will bring
You will bring significant experience delivering complex programmes made up of multiple projects, alongside a strong track record of leading and developing high-performing project teams. You will demonstrate confident leadership, excellent planning and organisational skills, and the ability to manage risk, budgets and competing priorities effectively.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills are essential along with the ability to influence at all levels and build collaborative relationships across teams. You will apply sound judgement, think strategically and remain resilient in a fast-paced environment, with a commitment to continuous improvement and recognised programme or project management qualifications.
You will hold a recognised project or programme management qualification (such as MSP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM or PMP), with Agile certification desirable. You will bring significant experience delivering complex digital, IT, infrastructure or organisational change programmes, alongside strong capability in managing budgets, risks and cross-functional teams. Experience working with public sector or regulated environments is advantageous.
