Synechron is looking for a proactive Project Manager to join a global financial services client. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a broad portfolio of strategic initiatives focused on regulatory reporting, controls, process improvement, and business change.
Sitting within the Project Management Office, this role will support the delivery of key change initiatives across Operations, Risk, Finance, Compliance, and Technology. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in coordinating projects, maintaining governance standards, producing high-quality reporting, and ensuring stakeholders are kept informed of progress, risks, and issues.
ROLE:
- Produce and oversee project documentation across the full project lifecycle, including planning, tracking, testing, implementation, and post-go-live activities
- Create, maintain, and manage project reporting for a range of stakeholders, from detailed working groups through to senior governance forums
- Coordinate and facilitate key project meetings, ensuring objectives, actions, and outcomes are clearly captured
- Track actions, risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure timely resolution and escalation where required
- Support project governance and ensure adherence to agreed project management standards and operating models
- Engage with stakeholders across Operations, Technology, Compliance, Risk, and Finance to support successful delivery of business requirements
- Manage defined workstreams or projects, ensuring delivery milestones and timelines are achieved
- Provide clear and regular status updates to stakeholders and senior management
EXPERIENCE:
- Relevant Project Management Office (PMO) or Project Management experience within financial services
- Strong understanding of project management and change management principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working to tight deadlines and escalating issues where appropriate
- Proficiency in MS Project, PowerPoint, and JIRA
- Experience working with local and/or global teams
Preferred Experience:
- Knowledge of financial services terminology and the trade lifecycle
- Understanding of trade and transaction reporting
- Knowledge of listed and/or OTC derivatives
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting processes and requirements
Long term contract inside IR35 - GLASGOW based x3 days a week
